Coburg Lions (Mustangs) got their season back on track with a commanding 106 point win over the Western Devils.
Playing at home the Lions played an attacking and disciplined sytle of footy that yielded an important percentage boost.
With a strong wind favouring the scoreboard end the Lions showed no fear kicking 4 goals against the wind and stopping the Devils from registering a goal in the first quarter.
Captain Alex Talarico succumbed to a hamstring injury early in the game and Lions coach Gubby was busy making changes to cover the loss.
In the second quarter the Lions again dominated kicking a further six goals with the wind to two, establishing an eight goal lead at the long break.
Although the mercurial Billy Colosimno was unable to play, the Lions found multiple ways to goal. Ruckman Scott "The Wizz" Ryan kicked a supergoal in the last quarter to seal an emphatic win.
The Lions have a massive game next round against ladder leaders Melbourne at Cripse Park.
