Adam Lewis bagged four goals as the Reserves locked themselves into second place on the ladder with win an important 44-point defeat of Frankston. A great afternoon had by Dave Pengelly who celebrated his 50th game for the club as the Reserves put on their most consistent four quarters for the season and kept Frankston goalless for three quarters.
Nothing is ever certain but another win should see the Reserves lock up a place in the finals for the first time in the club’s history.
It wasn’t a great result for the Over 50’s who went down by 23-points in what was an injury plagued morning the worst of all 100+ game player Barry Saunders going down with a nasty shoulder dislocation. Despite leading by 7-points at half time, the attrition through injury told and they weren’t able to pull off a for Jimmy Boudsingkhone who played his 50th game for the club.
Next round, round 8 we are away to Beaconsfield.
