In a tight, seesawing affair the Legends held Essendon goalless in the third term and made the most of their opportunities to sneak home by 3-points.

Despite being down by 17-points at ¾ time the Reserves had their chances to snatch a win however some wayward kicking in the last term ultimately cost them the 4 points.
